Skype meeting with Spanish school

A skype meeting with the Spanish school  took place during the 2nd year of the project. Students of bioth schools made pairs and talked to each other about their favourire sports and everyday habits. Students of the 6th grade of our school had the chance to use english and get to know their peers of the school in Tomelosso, Spain.

First grade's welcome video

This is a video created  to be presented in class during the partners' visit at our school. different classes had presented various activities to welcome the visiting teachers. The video that follows was presented in the first grade .

Dissemination of the project

At the end of the school year a disemination day was organised at our school. Parents of the school, the school advisor Ms Kekia were invied to attend the celebration which took place at the Town Hall. Activities were presented along with videos of visits and projects created during these 3 years. Additionally students that travelled to Finland described their experience and their impressions of the Finnish school.

New teaching method

As part of our implementing a new teaching method, we  have decided to use chess as a means of teaching other subjects. Therefore, chess has been used for teaching Greek vocabulary  and Maths, Literacy and numeracy. Students enjoyed learning while playing and revising while having fun.

6th project meeting in Finland

The final project meeting in Tampere, Finland took place in April. A delegation of school school with 4 students and 4 teachers travelled to the beautiful city in Spring to receive a warm welcome from the Finnish school. During the meeting students took part in workshops and enjoyed the culture and wonderful hospitality of the Finns while being toured at the newly-constructed bulilding.

In Spring, students of the Greek and the Finnish school met on Skype. The meeting was arranged before athe meeting in Finland so as the visiting students would have a chance to meet their hosts.

My story

Students of the 6 partner countries have jointly created a story each contributing with its parts and adding pictures created by the students. The initially planned topic of the story was changed according to teh students' suggestions and preferences.

Christmas cards -Christmas 2017

Cards created by the school students were sent to all project partners and especially Finland as with which we were paired. Students enjoyed creating and receiving the cards.

Sports activators

As part of the project our school tried having sport activators. The idea was to have older students encourage and teach younger ones to try sports duting the school breaks. The idea worked well and both younger and older students enjoyed working together and their new roles. Accidents were avoided in the school yard as students worked in groups .

Sports day

At the beginning of the school year each country was tohave a sports event or day where all students tried different sports or even their favourite ones. our students visited a local sports area where they enjoyed their day and played either team sports or individual ones.

Official welcome of partners

Partners attended the official welcome by the school students at the Town Hall . Folk dances, songs and short acts were presented duting the ceremony.

Στο πρόγραμμα Erasmus το 20ο Δημοτικό Ευόσμου: Ξεχωριστό χρώμα είχε η πολιτιστική γιορτή του 20ου δημοτικού Ευόσμου. Το σχολείο συμμετέχει στο πρόγραμμα Erasmus και η γιορτή δόθηκε προς τιμή των φιλοξενούμενων εταίρων από πέντε χώρες της Ευρώπης. Ρεπορτάζ: Νίκος Πιτσιακίδης

5th project meeting in Greece

At the beginning of November 2017 partner countires met in Thessaloniki, Greece. Partenrs received a warm welcome at the school and were toured in Thessaloniki visiting monuments and places of interest, such as the White Tower and the city harbour. The visisted the premises of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science where the attended a shord presentation by the professor of the department Vasilis Kaimakamis. Partners also visited Mount Olympus and the archaeological site of Vergina.

My dream school sports day

My dream school sports day is a writing and drawing competition for 1^st to 6^th grades. Each country has decided to do it in their own language.  Here are some of the drawings and stories that our younger and older students have created. The winner of the competition was the student of the 6th grade, Athanasios.
