 On Friday we helped the environment by recycled everything that we could be recled at school!

Week of change- Day 4

On Thurday we planted flowers  in the shool yard. We also took care of the trees already planted there and cleaned the area. A wonderful yard is what all of us can enjoy!

On that day we used recyclable material to make toys. Lots of fun and imagination!

On Tuesday students rode their bikes to school. The result was a "bike bus".

On Monday they replaced their plastic bottles and paper napkins with cloth napkins and water brought from home.

Healthy breakfast day

Our teachers and pupils organised a healthy breakfast day on which they invited their parents to present and tasty typical a Greek breakfast. Students also interviewed their parnets on their nutritional values.

Skype with Spain

Greek students had the chance to meet on skype with Spanish students and have  short conversations in pairs. You can watch the video of the meeting

Sign Language

Students of the 6th grade learnt to sing a song in the sign language. The special education teacher of our school helped them to present the songs to parents and their school mates on several occassions.

A visit of an Olympic medalist in our school
In May 2016 the weight-lifter Pavlos Saltsidis, accompanied by three younger athletes, visited our school and was interviewed by our students. Then, using specially designed equipment,   the Olympic medallist demonstrated some basic instructions of this sport and students had a chance to experience the sport themselves.

Students from our school investigated on the Olympic games, mascots  and posters and created them during the art lesson so that they were displayed in the Erasmus+ corner.

·         Classes from our school visited the Olympic museum in Thessaloniki, where a special museum educator involved our students in role plays and games about the Olympic Games.

A day dedicated to people with special needs.

Several activities took place in our school  on the day dedicated to people with special needs. Students celebrated individuality and equality. They became aware of the problems these people face in their every day life

Visit of  paraolympic athletes in our school

In our school two deaf basketball players, members of the Greek basketball team that won the European Championship for deaf athletes of 2016 was invited to talk about their sports, the obstacles they have encountered and the power of will. Students interviewed them and played a basketball game with them.
